My girlfriend (20f) has not read a book in a long time and I really want to get her into it because I think she would really love to read, and the reason she hasn't for so long is the years of reading books for school (understandably) ruined it for her. I'm looking for something not too daunting and something that will really capture her from the start and keep her hooked. As for genres, she likes a lot of things. Some of her favorite movies and shows are Hunger Games, Fallout, the office, Nope, and a few rom coms. Any and all suggestions are really appreciated!

The best gateway to reading books that I’ve heard of are Fourth Wing, ACOTAR, and Colleen Hoover. If she likes those, she will slowly discover stories that she prefers and find even better ones.

    2. Rom Com-ish(?) More toward the romance tho,
Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren (or Roommates is good)
I personally really like ghost stories and I use to read on a low level so simpler easier books like All the Lovely Bad ones by Mary Downing Hahn or The Old Willis Place.
She likes Hunger Games(also loved, books tho not so much movie) Probably Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.
I’m just starting Percy Jackson (late to this fan Base) and it’s a pretty easy read, interesting.

    3. Audio books also count as reading if she really doesn’t enjoy physically reading them.
