Books like “ham on the rye” or “junkie: a guide to junk”

I love how they both are very forward in their writing, not a lot of glamour or fluff. I love the view of the almost average person living in the underbelly of society.

I’ve also read a few other books in this realm:
– Post Office
– Women

Both were really good but not as magically as ham on the rye IMO.
