I just finished The Quiet Librarian by Allen Eskens and as usual, it was a brilliant, thought provoking, and thoroughly engrossing story. But I feel very behind. It alternates between the Bosnian War and current day. It is not for the faint of heart as war crimes, ethnic cleansing, the Srebrenica Massacre and rape camps take center stage in this HF/mystery. I knew of the war but I knew nothing about any of these particular events and I would like to learn & read more.
So I am seeking recommendations on Nonfiction or Fiction books on this topic. I have no preference other than I love a good story I can learn from. Any suggestions? And if you haven’t read this book, it is my recommendation to you. TIA!
