hi!! ive been in a reading block lately, but picked up crime and punishment at my local discount bookstore. i havent read in a while, but this book totally rekindled my love for tellings of inner turmoil and our grasping of mortality. on the other hand, i love classical greek myth. after learning about it for a fair amount of time, i truly despise pop culture greek myth. i genuinely cannot STAND this oversaturated book market filled with absolute slop fetishizing and romanticizing every love affair and scandal of greek figures. this might be an actually impossible feat and might not be a book thats been written for larger audiences, but lord am i desperate. i would absolutely KILL for a book with a similar plot structure and tone as crime and punishment from the perspective of tithonus and the happenings of his life, especially after meeting eos. even if its more allegorical and not a direct adaptation of the myth, im desperate for good prose, fresh perspectives on greek myth, and psychological horror! any help is absolutely appreciated, and im open to taking recommendations that arent what i asked for but seem to be my vibe :9 this is more of a guide to get closer to authors i can trust with mythology adaptations lol
