I used to read when I was a teenager, but life got busy and smartphones happened so I stopped for many years. I got back into it at the start of this year after becoming burnt out from constant doom scrolling. I’ve eased my way in with moderately smutty fantasy (cliche, I know), and I have noticed that my favourite characters are usually the ones who provide comedic relief.
I guess my question is:- what are your favourite books/book series/characters that have made you lol?

If you like fantasy and RPGs/video games and are okay with absolutely no smut or romance, Dungeon Crawler Carl makes me crack up frequently. I’m re-listening to the books right now (highly recommend the audio book because the narrator is SO good) and I usually listen at work. Pretty sure the people around my office think I’m crazy at this point for busting out laughing randomly.

Of course! :)) I mean, humour is very subjective, but some of my favourite funny books are: Dave Gorman’s “Are You Dave Gorman?”, Danny Wallace’s “Yes Man”, I thought “The Martian” by Andy Weir was pretty funny at times, “Crazy Rich Asians” by Kevin Kwan, … If you like romance novels, there’s a lot of fun ones: Emily Henry, Christina Lauren, Tessa Bailey, Katherine Center..
