Hi All
I’m not a huge horror fan but prefer to read that genre closer to Halloween. I just finished 11/22/63 and loved it. Does anyone have a non-horror Stephen King suggestion? I love thrillers and mysteries in general and I’m not opposed to gore/ghosts/scary stuff but trying to look for a fun summer book/series and really enjoyed 11/22/63 and King’s style in general.
Thanks!

‘Fairy tale’ is pretty good. There’s also ‘the institute’ which is one of my favorites.
I just finished The Long Walk and while its definitely dark/bleak, it’s not horror in the traditional sense. It was really good, def recommend.
The Eyes of the Dragon is a fantasy novel he wrote. You also have The Stand for some post-apocalyptic fun.
There’s also the seven book series The Dark Tower he wrote that’s a fantastical world with some multiverse shenanigans from before that was cool. The first is called “The Gunslinger”.
Hearts in Atlantis is one of his finest works
Try “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption”.
It has no supernatural stuff, AT ALL. Also, “Dead Zone”
The Richard Buchanan books , the long walk, the running man, rage
My go to horror rec this year is The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones.
