Hi, i was looking for non-fiction books about british pirates’s history. does someone knows what are the best ones to learn about the topic? if someone has some suggestions about books that specifically have biographies of the most famous pirates, it would be even more amazing!

The Republic of Pirates by Colin Woodard
*Republic of Pirates* by Colin Woodard is a solid non-fiction choice.
*Pirates of the Caribbean: A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the Most Notorious Pyrates* by Captain Charles Johnson (1724).
This is the most influential primary source for our understanding of pirates. The book was likely written by Daniel Defoe and gives firsthand-ish accounts of Blackbeard, Calico Jack, Anne Bonny, and others. It heavily influenced pop culture portrayals. I’d recommend getting an annotated version
