My (16) best friend’s (15 turning 16) birthday is next month. I’m trying to plan out her gifts early and I think I want a romance/fantasy book to be part of them because it’s mostly what she reads aside from classics and YA. I have NOOO idea what makes a good romance book since I stay on the dystopia/science fiction side of the book spectrum. Not familiar with the books you’ve listed 🙁 but check out The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F C Yee. Chinese American high school girl gets caught up in a life-changing world of battling demons, all while she’s trying to get into an ivy league college! Funny, interesting. There’s a sequel too.
