Looking for an indulgent teen or young adult m/m romance where one of the pair has internalized homophobia that he works through by the end of the book? Bonus for coming of age vibes (think perks of being a wallflower and ladybird movie)

Open to any genre as long as it's fiction and not erotica.

OK with some smut but don't want that to be the focus of the book. For example the seven month itch by Tanvia Peart had too many sex scenes for me.

Something indulgent and sappy and fan servicey but without lots of smut.

Examples of things I'm looking for, but not limited to these;

Something that has sappy conversations between the two love interests, I don't need it to be the best written thing and I don't need it to have "realistic" dialogue or "believable" plot points, I just want to be drowned in cute gay vibes of two men who (eventually) love each other.

I'm open to lots of different kinds of books but I think I'd be fond of a big dramatic entrance at a stressful moment. Like Shrek racing yo Fiona during the "I need a hero" song in Shrek 2
