    1. *Atomic Habits* by James Clear remains a pillar of the genre.

*The Upside of Stress: Why Stress is Good for You, and How to Get Good at It* by Kelly McGonigal is a book that my sister who is a licensed psychologist and practicing marriage and family counselor absolutely swears by (not for her practice specifically, was just qualifying the suggestion lol).

    2. The happiness trap – Russ Harris
Why has nobody told me this before- dr. Julie Smith

    4. you’re not supposed to take the 48 laws of power 100% literally, it’s like the art of war by sun tzu but if you want a recommendation: the productivity project by Chris Bailey is one of my favourites and one whose advice I use most often because it tells you what to do if you’re feeling procrastination towards a specific task, if you want something more about inner strength and don’t mind a story (and a lot of swearing) I loved: they can’t hurt me by David Goggins, every chapter or so Goggins lays out an actionable step in how to turn your life around.
