Hi there, everyone. I'm a 26-year-old guy looking for book suggestions, and I figured the power of Reddit could help me find something. I am currently struggling to get into reading, despite my best efforts. I haven't read a whole book since 6th grade (for those who are wondering, it was the last of the Percy Jackson series), and I feel stuck as I get a few chapters into a book and burn out on the idea.
Just so you know, my interests include psychology, and I am currently majoring in applied human behavior in college, with plans to become a counselor. I enjoy politics and find history and politics fascinating; I lean politically to the left. I prefer books that don't have large gaps of uninteresting content, as my attention span wanes. My girlfriend, who is a big reader, suggests I aim for smaller books, since I tend to have trouble finishing them.
Would appreciate any suggestions!
