I've been thinking of rereading these recently, since it's been decades and my elementary school library never carried the whole series. I also read a bunch of Animorphs books, but the only one in that series that I really liked was the Ellimist Chronicles.
But I'm also keen to read something new with a similar vibe: science fiction focused on exploring and/or settling in a mysterious, alien environment. Something like Netflix's Scavengers Reign would be especially neat.
