Hi! I'm looking for books that are about occult or demons. Any help would be really appreciated!
For the occult books, I want main characters or main antagonists to be part of an occult religion (by occult I mean that its followers are considered heretics by the mainstream religion and are being prosecuted). I want some interesting world-building, and focus on the occult practices (hence the mc/ma part).
For the demon books, I just want something where demons are actual characters and not just plot devices. Bonus points if the other characters don't spend the whole book cowering in fear (be that hubris or some other reason).
Would love to read a book that has both, but that might be a big ask. Thank you!
