Should I read nothing like the movies?

I just finished reading Better Than the Movies. I'm thinking about reading its sequel, Nothing Like the Movies, but I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews, some even say it’s not worth reading. For those who’ve read it, is it really that bad? Should I still give it a try
