I read a story that discussed aliens trading with humans, Galactic Economics, and was wondering if there were any books or stories that are like that. It can be someone running a stand in a market, owning a shop, or is onboard a ship as a traveling merchant.

You might enjoy some parts of The Sparrow, which deals partly with alien traders. It’s not the main subject of the book, though.
