Looking forwitchy/magical realism-ish books but heavy on the small town and fall/autumnal vibes.
Adore Sarah Addison Allen, Adrienne Young, Lisa Van Allen. Have read When Autumn Leaves.
Think book version of Practical Magic (have read this and a lot of Alice Hoffman lol) and The Good Witch movie and tv series.
Prefer lighter on the fantasy side and a romantic subplot (or romance in general).

Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett is a parody of Macbeth from the point of view of the witches
The Ravens, and its sequel The Monarchs by Danielle Paige and Kass Morgan
The October Country by Ray Bradbury. This is my go-to autumnal read.
You should also see if your bookstore has a local interest section. They may have a collection of local ghost stories in stock if one exists! I have a book of local ghost stories and folklore collected from around my state and I find it very fascinating.
“The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches” by Sangu Mandanna
The practical magic prequels are great. Also, *Rewitched* by Lucy Jane Wood, *Cackle* by Rachel Harrison, *Ink Blood Sister Scribe* by Emma Törsz, and *The Ex Hex* by Erin Sterling
