• Red Rising by Pierce Brown – brutal, fast-paced sci-fi with heaps of political intrigue and rebellion
• Shadow Slave – dark, relentless fantasy where every gain feels earned (and every twist hits like a sucker-punch)
• The Licanius Trilogy by James Islington – sprawling magic system, time-bending drama, and morally gray heroes

What I’m into:

• High-stakes worldbuilding – whether on Mars or in a fractured medieval realm
• Complex characters who walk that line between hero and anti-hero
• Intricate plots full of betrayals, secrets, and “oh shit” moments
• A bit of grit and darkness, balanced with flashes of hope or heroism
