Looking for books/series’ set in a universe “shared” by multiple authors.

Like one wherein they all build on each other to write stories set in the same universe. Sort of how there are multiple authors in the Marvel/DC universe, but just written works basically. Preferably fantasy/sci-fi works but if it’s interesting nonetheless then do please recommend it.
