I recently turned 29, and I don’t expect turning 30 to change my life in a crazy way, but as an avid reader I am interested in recommendations for books you wish you read in your late 20s? Or hell, just wish you read earlier. Something that has stuck with you as you discovered that the cliches “don’t grow up to fast” and “don’t blink!” spewed at them from adults all their youth was actually sane advice?

You’re never too old for the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. They’re amazing and I can never recommend them enough.

*The body is not an apology* by Sonya Renee Taylor

      *Bullshit jobs* by David Graeber

*Something in the woods loves you* by Jarod Anderson

    3. I don’t think there’s any book I read and loved that was perfect for my age. So I’ll just recommend my general favorites.

The Glass Castle is the best memoir I’ve ever read

The Gemma Doyle Trilogy. A YA fantasy series I read in 8th grade but I honestly think most ages would like it. Romance isn’t the focus. It’s such an underrated series and everything I read after sucked in comparison. Dark academia, yet whimsical, feminist themes, historical setting, friendship

Project Hail Mary. Just want everyone to read it before the movie, don’t watch the previews! They spoil it in the trailer!
