I'm a huge fan of John Dies at the End (as well as pretty much everything from Jason Pargin). Are there any other books with this style of comedy, where the characters have that kind of 'done with this shit' exhaustion radiating off of them?
I've read:
Tales from the Gas Station (loved)
Bonesaw Vic's Cryptozoological Gardens
A couple books from Grady Hendricks (Couldn't get into)
I'm also a huge fan of old creepypasta. Been known to stay up creepin my cast.

The September House by Carissa Orlando. The MC is determined to live in her haunted house.
If you want to read a short, horror comedy, try “A Taste of Oz” by Robin Blasberg. It’s a hoot. Here’s a link to an excerpt: [https://www.youthplays.com/play/a-taste-of-oz-by-robin-blasberg-563&ref=](https://www.youthplays.com/play/a-taste-of-oz-by-robin-blasberg-563&ref=)
