Carry On, by Rainbow Rowell, is a “Magic Academy” style book with several gay main characters. It was written almost as a Harry Potter satire, but is a fun book. It has two sequels that I haven’t read yet.
Interestingly it was written based on fan fiction written by a character in another book by Rainbow Rowell, called Fangirl.
