I’m thinking of books like, e.g., Kundera’s “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” or Camus’ “The Plague”. Not that they are so complex that you have to read them again to understand something at all. They are pretty enjoyable reads. But they have so much depth, so many perspectives, so many topics they touch on that I felt I could just start again on page one the day after finishing them. It would not be the slightest bit boring, there would still be so many things to discover or see in a different light. Basically books you would pick to take to a desert island if you’d have to spend a long time there…

Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card – the best rereading experience I’ve ever had.
The Phantom Tollbooth- it might be a kid’s book but I catch new jokes and tricks every time I reread it, plus it’s just got a lovely groundedness to it.
