Hello, I’m considering getting a kindle e-reader but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money, and if it is which model should I go with? Or if there are any other recommendations

I love mine! I’ve had it for 4 years, and before that I had an older model that I gave to my sister! It’s light, and the battery lasts forever! Also it’s much easier/better to read at night before bed! I have the basic model, 10th generation maybe?? I don’t feel like I need the paperwhite, but know that a lot of people swear by it!! Since I don’t buy any books, I save a lot of money!!!

Ive had kindle paperwhite for years and love it. To know which ereader is worth, you should consider the cost of getting the books and how much are you willing to pay for them. I found out this year how many people didnt know that you only buy the license of ebooks(like everything else digital for decades) and removing drm is actually against the copyright law(aka not something you publicly declare).

If you’re from the US and/or have us library card, you can send the library books via amazon to your kindle using libby.

If you’re not from US and wants to use library, then you’ll probably have to get kobo or boox to access Overdrive.

For ebooks, I still find amazon ebooks to be most affordable. Kindle unlimited is worth it for me(I read >6 books a month which covers the cost) but those are loaned books. I tried kobo subscription and wasnt a fan of the collection. Not all books are available on both subscription and I do have to manually buy. I follow these 3 sites for $0.99 – $5.00 sales:
      https://www.amazon.com/amz-books/book-deals

      Bookbub

Eromanceiq – login, add books i want and set min amount, when theres a sale that reaches that amount they will send a notification

For epubs i have, i send to kindle usinghttps://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle and it will sync through my paperwhite and kindle apps(to read on my phone/tablet).

    3. I have a basic kindle and have for many years now and it is life changing. I don’t buy books and exclusively use Libby offered through my library.
