I’ve run out of books to read so I’m ordering a bunch new ones, but I have no idea what to get so I’m looking for recommendations. Couple of things, I am a minor so young adult books only. Also I hate romance so I would prefer if it either didn’t have romance or if it wasn’t the main point of the story. I like fiction and fantasy books like Percy Jackson but I’m open to suggestions. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried *The Perks of Being a Wallflower*?
Eragon and Artemis Fowl would be the top of my list. I read them and re-read them as a YA. You might also enjoy Skyward by Brandon Sanderson if you like sci-fi, which is a book about fighter pilots trying to survive an alien invasion.
[Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) by Jessica Townsend! It’s my favorite series even as an adult. It’s middle grade, not YA, but so is Percy Jackson :).
Enders Game, Orson Scott Card. Spellsinger, Allen Dean Foster.
Howl’s Moving Castle
A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking
A Wrinkle in Time
Golden Compass series is an awesome fantasy that won the ALA award in its year. A secret society, a precocious girl, a prophecy device.
The Hobbit is all-ages classic adventure fantasy with no romance but yes dragons, treasure and a magic ring.
A Wrinkle in Time is another all-ages classic fantasy/sci-fi about a family of kids traveling through spacetime.
the golden compass is great, part of a trilogy. if you liked percy jackson the author has other really enjoyable series, a series of unfortunate events is a bit of a longer series, i think about 13 books. i don’t know if animorphs would be something you’d be into, but they’re good books from what i remember .
A Wizard of Earthsea is old but good
Suicide Six by Jeanpaul Ferro
It’s a YA book that isn’t dumbed down like most YA novels. And it is a super read!
