Hi, I'm in my 30's and I'm not as much of a reader if at all. I've read all the Harry Potter books. Outside of that, I read The Help which I liked. I tried reading The Kite Runner, but it took a turn that made it difficult to continue to read.
So, I feel like I'm mostly drawn into the fantasy genre, at least right now. I need a good escapism. Harry Potter was always my safe space, but I want to get into something new. I thought about Games of Thrones, but I didn't really liked how the TV show was over sexualized, plus, I understood that there isn't an ending for that series. But it's more mature toned, so idk.
With all that being said, what would you recommend for me to read?

Check out the Percy Jackson or Eragon series! Game of Thrones books weren’t overly sexualized at all, HBO added a LOT of sex. I read primarily fantasy (and am a children’s librarian) so you can definitely get by sticking to the genre, specifically urban fantasy (which is, essentially, fantasy set in modern times)
Other adult series to check out:
(Percy & Eragon are technically for kids, so the only distinction here is a more complex plot, and adult characters)
The Others by Anne Bishop
Soulwood by Faith Hunter
Innkeeper series by Ilona Andrews
InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire
and so many more!
A Wizard of Earthsea.
