You tell someone there's a twist, then they're going in already wondering what they can believe or what they can dismiss. They're looking for clues. Even if they're not, they're still not going to be impacted the same way as if they'd gone in without knowing that the story would be turned upside down or other which way. It's a really crummy way thing even if a lot of us don't realize it.
Please don't tell people "there's a twist!" I get it exciting, but it's exciting because you experienced it yourself. Don't take that away from someone else.
