So what I mean is writing that involves evocative descriptions of grand, natural landscapes and weather events. In the book, this is done in the form of journal entries by different characters. That part isn’t necessary, but the book involving interpersonal relationships between multiple travelers would be a plus, as opposed to a solo journey.

It has been over a decade since I read The Left Hand of Darkness, so my memory of it is rather hazy (I can still remember “the king was pregnant”).
But I recently read *All the Pretty Horses* by Cormac McCarthy and it has beautifully described vistas and weather in abundance. A lot of the book is spent in travelling through southern Texas and northern Mexico, either alone or in a small group.
