Hello! I teach a high school Introduction to Technology course (mainly to sophomores, 15-16 years old) where a few of the standards have me dive into teaching students about appropriate technology use, digital citizenship, and media literacy. I'm looking for some suggestions for a fiction or non-fiction book that would be good for us to read as a class? We'd likely just read about a chapter per week and do a little book study over it throughout the semester. I've done some googling and have come up with the following books, but I'm not sure if I've found the right one yet!

    Current suggestions I've found:

    • The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haight
    • Feed by MT Anderson (worried my admin might not approve because of mature language and themes)
    • A few books by Marshall McLuhan, but I've been told they might be a little too dry for high schoolers.

Just trying to find one or two books that we could read that teenagers would ACTUALLY find interesting about technology use / digital citizenship / media literacy and not roll their eyes about! Thanks!
