I managed to track down a rare romance from the 1980s that only had one print run in paperback and I have pulled the author's name off the spine removing the sticker.
1) Are their methods I can use to avoid this in future?
2) What are your experiences with tracking down rare books secondhand? Have you had anything similar where you find something but then get frustrated by how it was packed/the condition of the book when it arrived?
