I’m looking for a post-apocalyptic book that follows someone(s) just trying to survive. An example of the type of book I’m looking for would be The Road. That book was loaded with suspense, and it really pushed to the extremes of what humanity is capable of when morality is stripped away – if you’ve read it, you know what I mean. I want it to feel like I’ve been holding my breath the entire time, and when I stop and put it down, like I’m breathing for the first time in hours.
