I wanted to recommend a great short read I just came across. It's called Train 1037: A Journey into Conscience.
The premise is super high-concept: a mysterious train appears once a year for a handful of passengers, and its destination isn't a place, but a reckoning with their past. The train's cars literally transform into scenes from their lives, forcing them to confront their biggest regrets.
What really got me was the psychological depth. It’s a character-driven mystery that makes you think, "What would I see on that train?" If you’re looking for a quick, unique, and thought-provoking read, this one is excellent.
Has anyone else read this? What did you think of the ending?
