I've always considered myself a reader and read pretty much every night before bed.. until some time about a year ago I stopped. I'm not entirely sure why. I think it might have to do with the fact that the last few books I tried to read just couldn't really hook me and I ended up not really finishing them.
I want a short (not much more than 300 pages) book that stands on its own, has a concise writing style and ideally is gripping, so that I can get back into reading because I miss it but I also have a quite low motivation to get back into it at the same time.
I like (supernatural) horror, mystery, crime, and fantasy if it has original ideas.

Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin
Like Flies From Afar by K Ferrari
The Mustache by Emmanuel Carrere
The Road by Cormac McCarthy right at 300 pages
Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins around 280 pages
Really short (100 pages or less):
Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan
All Systems Red by Martha Wells
Richard Bachman/Stephen King novellas tick many of your boxes.
I would recommend anything by Silvia Moreno Garcia. *Mexican Gothic* or *Certain Dark Things* if you want supernatural, *Velvet Was the Night* if you want crime. All under 300 pages.
Do “Murderbot Diaries” by Martha Wells. It is a series of mostly novellas. The first book works as a stand alone and you only have to continue if you like it. The audiobooks are only 3 hours each so a quick read and super fun.
