My friend is going into rehab for alcohol and i offered to bring her some books to read while she's there. There are no restrictions at this rehab about books or their content (I checked). Her husband is being really shitty about her choosing to prioritize herself and seeking help.
I have a stack of my favorite books and a few ones i think she might enjoy that are helpful. I want to throw in a really good romance novel that features a healthy relationship dynamic as a) a fluffy option for if she wants to forget she's at rehab, and b) a subtle reminder that men can and should treat their partners nicely and she doesn't have to put up with her husband's bullshit.
TLDR, recommend me a romance book with a healthy relationship / male love interest who knows how to treat a woman right. Book should not be alcohol-centered if possible. Would love something that is just a standalone good story aside from the romance, too.

Ohhhh I one thousand percent recommend The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy, by Megan Bannen. There’s two more books in the series and they are just- fluffy and funny and lovely.
The Secret to Happiness by Suzanne Woods Fisher
Get a Life, Chloe Brown – by Talia Hibbert. There might be one scene with alcohol? But neither character drinks much. And it’s cute and fun.
