Does anyone know of a book where a little old lady is the chosen one to go out and defeat some evil, injustice, mythical gods plaguing humanity?
I’m hoping there is something out there with Percy Jackson vibes but Percy is 80yo Pearl who just happened to be the prophesied hero. Maybe a hot 80yo villain who makes her believe in love again in a plot twist.
Honestly idk what I want but I want adventure, an old main character (40s isn’t old so don’t try me)and maybe a spunky pet or sexy villain.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated. I just want something that is not the norm.

Howl’s Moving Castle?
I don’t know of anything that exactly fits. But there is an older action series by Dorothy Gilman about a woman in her 60’s who becomes a spy for the CIA. The first book is The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax…
The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher by E.M. Anderson
The Wheel of the Infinite by Martha C. Wells has a protagonist who is generally described as middle-aged, not old, but it’s the first that comes to mind. What about Terry Pratchett’s Witches Abroad?
Maybe the Witch Books subset from Sir Terry Pratchett’s *Discworld* series? Granny Weatherwax, specifically, comes to mind? 🤔🤔🤔
Is it okay if she’s not the subject of prophecy? Granny Weatherwax from Wyrd Sisters is somewhere north of sixty and just really good at being a witch.
Terry Pratchetts Grannie comes pretty close to what you want. Highly recommend starting with Wyrd Sisters.
