I started reading it, my first Dickens, with a lot of curiosity and passion. I'm on chapter 22, and it's tiring me. The strife of his childhood was interesting and moving but now all the characters just have dull conversations. It's been 2-3 long chapter that nothing really happened.
I did what I do sometimes when I'm thinking if DNF or no, and read a few comments on Goodreads. Someone said that the characters are pretty one dimensional, which I find true.
So… is it worth it? I have more than 40 chapter ahead of me, will it get better?

If you aren’t enjoying it, put it down. Life is short and there are more books than you could ever hope to read in your lifetime. Don’t waste time on things you aren’t enjoying.
It’s been a long time since I read it, but you want to finish reading it so that you see how the situation with Uriah Heep is resolved.
