Hello, just like the title says, I'm looking for suggestions for a book to read on vacation. I want a good horror/sci fy to sink myself in…If it contains themes of Black Culture that'd be a plus as well. My general style of books when I did read years ago was Steven King. Desperation was one of my favorites. I'm looking for something in that type of realm. My apologies If I couldn't get to a single point 🌚

I’m not sure if it is a true horror novel but Jackal by Erin Adams is an excellent book.
Maybe have a look at My Sister the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite? It’s not strictly King-esque, but it would be perfect for the pool.
Pym, by Mat Johnson is a satirical adventure story that has some sci-fi and horror elements and lots of themes about black culture.
