fiction by socialist authors

I like reading theory, but it's also nice to relax with some fiction too. I'm not looking for books with "leftist themes" or books written by vaguely left leaning people, I'm looking for fiction that was written by authors who explicitly identify(ied) as socialist or communist. I'm curious to see what these kinds of stories look like.
