i’m in a huge reading slump right now. i keep picking up books and never finishing them. if the beginning is slow, i lose interest and DNF. (the only book i always return to is Pride and Prejudice!)
i’d love some recommendations for books that pull me in from the very first pages. i enjoy stories with strong heroines, self-discovery, a bit of romance, and adventure.
i especially love when there’s witty banter or sharp dialogue between the characters (m/f). my guilty pleasure, especially during the fall, is when two detectives (or mystery partners) fall in love while solving a case (nothing too dark or horror!)
