I like reading about real, raw experiences, without it being too realistic, or too theoretical. I like a “weird” or “creepy” spin on actual human experiences. I want a story that sounds too weird to be happening to you, but also kind of relatable? Like Monstrilio (if you were struck by grief) or My Year of Rest and Relaxation (boredom/depression) or Rouge (aging/beauty). Out of these, I didn’t think all of them were the best books but ones that help me explain what I’m looking for. But also, I’m a flexible reader and open to loose interpretations of my request, so recommend away!!
