I need a book as well written and world building as the hunger games but doesn’t have to be the same genre!

I’m not looking for like YA dystopian, quite frankly I would prefer if it was a different type of story because the hunger games trilogy and spinoffs are SO GOOD I feel like nothing will top it for me. For context I’m a full grown adult so anything younger might not do.

I just need exceptionally well written books or I give them up entirely and I’m tired of wasting my audible credits on garbage. (I’m looking at you quicksilver) 😔 I love romance but not cheesy or over the top or smut, I need a story to carry it.

So far I’ve read and loved the hunger games as mentioned, my favorite from them is a ballad of songbirds and snakes, really loved/hated being in the mind of a self serving narcissist. Was very interesting and kept me hooked and ranting to my boyfriend throughout the story in the best way lol.

I also love pride and prejudice, right now I’m reading the light novel apothecary diaries, I enjoy that it’s mostly history/mystery with political intrigue and SOME secret/forbidden romance. I need something on audible to listen to while I’m at work! Sorry for the essay and thank you in advance!!
