Any Books that are all just Schemes Within Schemes Upom Schemes ? Mind Blowing Ultra-Hyper scheming to the Nth degree taken to the extreme [ No hardcore or deep Fantasy or Sci-fi pls ]

Although the tag is Historical fiction. I enjoy everything except Hardcore fantasy or Scifi ones like MALAZAN or RED RISING

Counte of Mont Cristo – Edmond Dantes Basically planning the whole 1300'pages book with masterpiece planning

Lymond Chronicles/House Of Niccolo – Francis and Nicholas Basically Outsmarting everyone despite their situations being disadvantageous and their enemies being Hella smart
