I am in a creative writing class that is looking at the way authors write stories based on requests for, and the popularity of, certain tropes or subgenres. Essentially looking for what would be considered "mass market" paperbacks, but in ebook form. Ideally, the books would be self-published by authors who are putting out books pretty frequently, but as long as the book is popular/high ranking and fairly recent, it'll work. Also, the shorter the book is the better… I am a slow reader so ideally it would be less than 250 pages. This class requires me to read a book from basically every genre there is so I will take any and all suggestions. Or, if you have any good tips on how to find free or super cheap ebooks that would fit these requirements, that would help so much.
