Psychological thriller, but set in 1750’s-1800’s?

I'm looking for a psy thriller, but by a modern writer. A new story that takes place 100+ years ago. (So no Mary Stewart or Victoria Holt please.)

Think The Woman in the Window, circa 1800's. The Housemaid, but it's 1750.

If 1944's Gaslight were a book, that would be a good example. If Rear Window were a book, that took place during the time and location of Jack the Ripper, that would be chef's kiss.

I hope this makes sense and I hope someone has a recommendation or two for me. TIA!
