I’ve been a mood reader when I started reading and it lead to like a dozen unfinished book. But now I read two books at a time(one fiction and one nonfiction style) with some connection like topic, historical context, etc AND I love it so much! I’ve reading much diverse books and loving them. Also found audiobooks much better if I’m reading the text as well.

Binge-reading. I usually read romance, so, I’m not very good with diverse books.
I do the same (fiction & non-fiction).
That’s great. Bouncing between the two must help if one is in a slump.
My new style is reading shorter books. I find that going into the library and just picking out any book under 175 pages that sounds even remotely interesting has been amazing for my reading diversify.
– Historical fiction where the women in textile mills are using witchcraft to stage strikes? Absolutely!
– Pagan god, eco-fantasy story with some light, gay romance? Sure, why not?
– Menstruation allegory where a girl’s blood creates murderous clones of herself and she has to kill them each time they rise? Sign me up!
Quality varies, but I know I’m in for a short ride each time, and it’s been a blast.
