I’ve read several different comments here and there that recommend various works by Kurt Vonnegut. Rather than dipping a toe in the water and finding one or two of his books at the library, I am considering buying the lot of his works in a box set and reading through them in a year.
Are all of his works pretty good, or are there any lemons in there? What about the themes—has anybody read several of his works and found themselves thinking, “This one is pretty similar or derivative of this other one”?
The box set I found is from “A Library of America” and is very reasonably priced. I do worry that a few reviews have said the pages are very thin.

I think this is a great way to explore vonnegut’s work.
I’ve been thinking about buying this, too. I need more Vonnegut.
Also, in regards to quality, the worst KV is probably better than most writers on their best day.
I’ve read them all. Yes, some are better than others, but even the bad ones are still pretty good. They’re the bad ones because they’re just not as inspired as his other books, and they retread some of the same ideas. It’s not because they’re awful books.
