I have found it difficult to find gay romance novels that are beautifully written. Some of my favourites have been Aristotle and Dante Discovers the Secrets of the Universe, Song of Achilles, Tin Man, The Binding etc. Can you guys suggest me some well written books with happy endings?

The Scottish Boy by Alex di Campi
Wait. Song of Achilles is gay?
Alice Winn *In Memoriam*
Natasha Pulley *The Watchmaker of Filigree Street* (actually, all of hers contain slow burn gay romance really)
John Boyne *The Heart’s Invisible Furies*
Have you read Chinese bl novels? Mo dao zu shi (The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) would be the best one to start with. It’s set in magical ancient China, has captivating plot and brilliant characters. It’s a bit untipical if you are used to European books, but it’s great, probably one of (if not the) my favorite books. It makes ouch in the process, but a happy ending is promised!
