I see many people here posting things like, I'm looking for a book in this genre with this kind of a character, etc..
If you have read many books and can't find what you are looking for, it may be time to write the book you want to read.
When I was a young musician, I collected songs that made me feel a certain way, but they always fell short somehow, and I realized I needed to start writing the music I wanted to listen to.
The next book many of you need is a book on how to write a novel. Stop looking for a book that doesn’t exist and start writing it.
It will probably suck at first, but if you keep hammering it out, you will find it fulfilling to live through the eyes of the protagonist you are looking for, and you may even create something worth sharing with other people who are looking for the same book you are searching for. Food for thought.
