Book set in the Industrial Revolution that has a character called Mog, who is later revealed to be Imogen?

I saw someone mention this one in another subreddit, but they couldn’t remember the name of the book. All they knew was that it was revealed at the end of the book that Mog was short for Imogen. I know it’s a long shot, but does anyone know which book this is?
