I have started to feel angry at myself and might be slowly going into depression, I have started introspecting and have a rough plan as to how I can change this however as is usual it will take time

So in the meanwhile I am looking for warm cozy feel good books about maybe found family/friends, or motivating books where a protagonist goes from nothing to achieving everything they wanted , if someone can suggest similar books I would be grateful

Footnote: Open to other books which might genuinely help me on my journey of self improvement is also appreciated (I am not a big fan of self help books but am open to try)

Sorry for the longish post, Thanks in advance

The Neapolitan Quartet by Elena Ferrante follows the lives of two young girls growing up together in an Italian neighbourhood. There is four books so you can immerse yourself in them for a while, so well written and the characters are fantastic. I hope you manage to pull yourself out of this hole, books are great and you’re doing the right thing catching yourself before you fall. You should be proud of yourself for that:)

    2. The Tiffany Aching books are pretty cozy yet filled with lots of wisdom, some heavier topics are gonna be present as you advance through the series though. The first book is The Wee Free Men (by Terry Pratchett). Personally I enjoyed the dry British humour and Tiffany is one of my favourite characters of all time, she’s a gem.

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie (recommending because the protagonist lost everything, goes on a revenge quest, and through the series she and several other people do get to heal)
