i want a sad book, and i’m talking like sobbing mess on the floor, day ruined type of sad book. i love all genres (i stray away from romance unless it’s horrifically sad), historical fiction/nonfiction, memoirs, science fiction, young adult, etc. i asked tiktok the same prompt (my first mistake) and was suggested to read Every Last Word; so i read it. Everyone said it made them sob, that they thought about it for days. When I tell you the book was SO boring, i flew through it in a day too because there’s such little substance 😭 and on a sad meter?? it probably is about a 3/10, seriously. whatever the opposite of feel good fiction is – that’s what i’m looking for!!! thank you for the help 🩵
